CallSphere vs Speechly: End-to-End Agentic AI Voice + Chat vs Voice Intent Sdk (defunct As (2026)

The Speechly Question in 2026: Where Does It Actually Leave the Buyer?

Speechly positions itself as Originally a real-time spoken language understanding (SLU) SDK for developers; now an internal Roblox voice moderation team — no longer a public product.. That story wins demos. It often loses on the deployment Friday — when the practice manager, the dispatch lead, or the front-desk owner discovers what Speechly actually ships, and what it leaves the customer to build, integrate, operate, and pay for separately.

This guide is grounded in research from Speechly's own pricing pages, their docs, and verbatim or paraphrased reviews from G2, Capterra, Reddit, Hacker News, and other public sources. The aim is not to dunk on Speechly — it's to give buyers a fair, evidence-backed picture of where the gap is, what CallSphere fills, and how a switch actually looks in practice.

The short version: Speechly fits the buyer who wants voice intent sdk (defunct as and is willing to bring the rest of the stack. CallSphere fits the buyer who wants the rest of the stack shipped with the agent — for one transparent monthly recurring fee, with the data migration done for them.

Where Speechly Actually Falls Short — From Buyers, Not From Marketing

These are not adjectives. They are specific findings from Speechly's own pricing pages, their docs, and verbatim or paraphrased customer reviews from G2, Capterra, Reddit, and Hacker News:

• Acquired and shut down to outside customers. Roblox acquired Speechly Sept 20, 2023 (TechCrunch, Crunchbase); GitHub repos archived in early 2024 — the developer SDK is no longer maintained for external use.
• Repurposed for in-game voice moderation only. Roblox bought Speechly to moderate spoken language in 3D experiences in real time (Voicebot.ai, PYMNTS) — not for business voice agents.
• No commercial roadmap for non-Roblox customers. No public pricing page, no current go-to-market, no support channel for new external developers post-acquisition.
• Was always SLU only — never an agent. Even pre-acquisition, Speechly only handled real-time intent parsing; customers still needed to bring their own LLM, telephony, TTS, CRM, and orchestration.
• Stranded existing integrations. Companies that built on Speechly's SDK have had to migrate elsewhere since the GitHub archive in early 2024 — common Reddit/HN refrain about acquired-and-shelved dev tools.

What Speechly Customers Are Actually Saying

A small sample of complaints surfaced from public review sites and community forums. Quoted or paraphrased, sources cited inline:

• Public GitHub repos archived early 2024 — open issues not addressed (developer community discussion)
• No path forward for customers who built on the SLU API post-acquisition
• Speechly's docs/site replaced with redirect/teardown content; effectively zero support

Where CallSphere Specifically Wins Against Speechly

Each of these is tied to a Speechly-specific gap surfaced above — not generic feature parity claims:

• CallSphere is an actively shipped, supported product with public pricing — Speechly is no longer purchasable.
• Full vertical agent (telephony + LLM + KB + CRM + dashboards) vs Speechly's SLU-only primitive that always required heavy DIY.
• 57+ languages and HIPAA today; Speechly customers are migrating off and CallSphere is a clean replacement.
• $19 entry price and white-glove migration — concrete soft landing for any orphaned Speechly developer.
• Live multi-channel (voice + chat + SMS + WhatsApp); Speechly never solved channels beyond mic input.
• Production agent in days via migration team — vs forking and self-hosting an archived OSS repo.

Complete Data Migration — Done For You, In Every Sector

The single biggest reason businesses stay stuck on a tool that's failing them is migration anxiety: "What about my contact history? My phone number? My existing integrations? My team training?" CallSphere's migration team handles all of it, in every sector we serve, at no extra cost when you sign on:

• Numbers — port your existing DID(s) or BYOD via Twilio. We coordinate the LOA and the LNP window. Zero downtime.
• Contact history — we export from Speechly (or your existing CRM/EHR/DMS/AMS), normalize, dedupe, and import into the CallSphere industry schema with audit trails preserved.
• Workflows and prompts — your call scripts, IVR trees, escalation rules, and agent personas get rebuilt as multi-agent specialists with handoffs.
• Integrations — CRM (HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho), EHR (Epic, eClinicalWorks, Athenahealth, Dentrix), DMS (CDK, Reynolds, DealerTrack), AMS (AMS360, EZLynx, Applied Epic), helpdesk (ConnectWise, Autotask, ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro), calendars (Google, Outlook, Calendly).
• Recordings + transcripts — we ingest historical recordings if your prior vendor exposes them, run them through transcription + sentiment, and seed your CallSphere analytics dashboard with day-1 insights.
• Compliance — HIPAA BAA attestation references, region-pinned storage, AES-256 at rest, role-based access for staff vs admin vs DPO.

Healthcare · Dental · Behavioral Health · Salon & Spa · Real Estate · Property Management · Hotels & Hospitality · Restaurants · HVAC · Plumbing · Legal · Insurance · Automotive · Financial Services · MSP / IT Helpdesk · Logistics · Veterinary · Education · Fitness & Wellness · E-commerce — every one of these verticals already has a migration runbook. The headline reason businesses don't switch off Speechly is the integration bill they expect. CallSphere removes that bill entirely.
