Q: Why "every property required"?
Strict mode rejects optional fields. Use ["string", "null"] union and pass null when absent.
Q: Does strict mode add latency? ~5–8% on first token because the FSM compile happens once per schema (cached after).
Q: Can I nest schemas?
Yes, up to 5 levels deep on OpenAI and 6 on Anthropic. Avoid $ref — it is not supported in strict mode.
