CallSphere reference architecture

Pipecat is a Python framework that wires STT, LLMs, TTS, VAD, and tool-calling into a streaming pipeline. Daily Bots is the managed layer: launch a bot in a Daily room, scale it on Daily's global WebRTC infrastructure (75 PoPs, 99.99% uptime, 13 ms median first-hop), and switch between any LLM, TTS, or STT vendor without touching transport code.

A Daily Bots pipeline:

1. Client joins a Daily room over WebRTC (Daily SDK, web or mobile).
2. Daily Bots spawns a bot worker that joins the same room as a participant.
3. The worker runs a Pipecat pipeline: VAD → STT (Deepgram/Cartesia/Whisper) → LLM (any OpenAI-compatible) → TTS (Cartesia/ElevenLabs/Inworld) → frame sink.
4. Synthesized audio is published back as the bot's track.
5. Daily routes everything through its SFU; no media touches the customer's backend.

The killer property is observability: every frame in the Pipecat pipeline is timestamped, so you can graph audio-capture → STT-final → LLM-first-token → TTS-first-frame → wire-out latency for every turn.

## CallSphere implementation

CallSphere does not run on Daily Bots, but we have benchmarked it against our stack. We use Daily's pipeline timing model as the inspiration for our internal turn-tracer, which logs every hop across the 6-container pod (mic-in → Realtime token-out → tool fan-out → speak-out).
